Because Worms Blast is a totally different type of Worms game than you might be used to, we've put together a short account of what the game is all about, including some snippets of the type of levels you will encounter.
First up we'll cover how you'll be playing the game in the majority of levels and gamemodes in single player.
Worms Blast, what's the big idea?
The basic gameplay consists of shooting a coloured bazooka at some coloured blocks. If the colours match, then the block is destroyed, along with all connecting blocks of the same colour. If the colours do not match, then the weapon colour 'splats' onto the block you hit, plus those immediately surrounding it.
Other weapons such as grenade, dynamite and laser can be found hidden in crates 'locked' into the landscape, and there are also some special blocks.
Land that becomes 'disconnected' from the top line will shake and then fall. The period of time for which they shake depends on the number of blocks in the falling section. The exception to this rule is if the land contains one or more anchor blocks. If a disconnected land mass contains an anchor block, it will not fall.
Now while these are the basic rules there are exceptions where we have bent and twisted them, these exceptions occur mainly in the missions so that they can be different, varied and just plain crazy when compared to some of your more regular, run of the mill puzzle games.
